Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation of Liability

We warrant that we will carry out the service to you with a reasonable level of care and skill. If you require any changes to these terms, please request such changes in writing to MyDistance Learning College. Any liability under any agreement between you and us shall be limited to any sums paid by you to us. As far as permitted by law, we shall not be liable to any person for losses or damages that were not reasonably foreseeable and that were not caused by any breach on our part.

We shall not be liable to any person for any direct or indirect loss or damage as a result from your course enrolment. Any liability that does arise will be limited to the course fee paid.

Responsibility for Course Materials

We affirm that the course materials provided will meet a satisfactory standard.  We aim to produce materials of the highest quality however we do not affirm that they will be error free. You will be responsible for inspecting the course materials as soon as is reasonably possible following receipt. It will be your duty to contact us should the course materials not be received in a satisfactory condition.

Currently our criminology, forensic science and maths courses are sent to you from our friends at UK Open Learning Ltd. This will mean your course and final certificate comes from them.

Plagiarism

We will not allow copying of work and where plagiarism is found we reserve the right to withdraw the student from the course without a refund of the course fee.

Posting of Assignments

Must be submitted using the online student interface.

Duration of your MyDistance Learning College Course

Your course will be valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. Tutor support may be extended for a fee.

Delivery

We will dispatch your course the same day should you order before 2pm. Should it be outside of this time we will post the next business day.

Payment

If you choose to pay by instalments, the initial deposit is £58 per course.  The remaining balance is then split into 4 equal monthly payments.  Please note that the price paid by instalments is the full 'List Price' - discounts / sale prices are not applicable when selecting this payment option. 

All outstanding debts to us must be made before we will issue you with a certificate.  Failure to make necessary payments may also result in withdrawal of tutor support.

We reserve the right to refuse enrolment on any of the courses we offer.

If you are using a credit agreement and paying for the course by instalments, you agree to pay the instalments promptly on the dates specified in the credit agreement irrespective of the speed at which you are studying. If you choose to pay by instalments and your card is declined we charge an administration fee of £15.00 including VAT which is added to your account.

Copyright

All copyright and other intellectual property rights relating to the course materials are either owned by or licensed to us. Copying, adaptation or any other use of all or any part of it without our express permission is strictly prohibited.

Data Protection

We will not disclose your details to any person, unless you have given your consent or we are compelled to do so by law or in response to a valid, legally compliant request by any law enforcement agency or government authority.

Privacy & Security

Your payments are made through our secure payment processing centre. We never receive your card details when entered through our website.

Promotions

Promotions are subject to availability and may be withdrawn at anytime.

Cancellation

Should you choose to pay in instalments these will be taken on the anniversary date of your first payment and will conclude at the end of the full payment being received. Courses purchased through payment plans are not eligible for payment in full discounts.

Your statutory right under the consumer protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000, allows you seven  days from the day after receipt of materials in which to make a written request for cancellation. To avoid any misunderstandins emails or telephone cancellations are not acceptable and you must send the letter by recorded delivery.

Please note that no goods can be accepted for return unless faulty if the seal has been broken. This complies with the UK and EU legislation and does not affect your statutory rights.

We offer a refund on all paper based course as long as they are returned within 7 days via Royal Mail Special or recorded delivery in resalable condition and not marked in anyway.  We will send you a refund less postage and packing.

No refunds are available for CD/DVD Rom courses.

After the 7 days have elapsed we cannot accept a course back under any circumstances and all the fees are payable.
